Come Rain... or more Rain

Funny 'summer' we're having, but not as unexpected as all that. Take a look at the UK's (well, England's for the sake of this blog) average rainfall for the last 30 years and you'll notice that it's not the amount of rain that makes Blighty such a depressing place to be at times, it's the fact that it rains a bit ALL the time. Stuck for some dinner party chat? Why not wow your neighbour with the fact that over the last 30 years, AUGUST has been Manchester and Birmingham's average wettest month. Likewise London dwelling holiday planners might want to note that October is the capital's wettest month. Plymouth seems to be the only place that conforms to 'normal' weather perceptions, with the summer months driest. No wonder we talk about the weather.
