Watching the sun sinking over the stunning Quirimbas Archipelago in Mozambique last week, 2M beer in hand, I mused over our friends the Portuguese. Not content with providing us with the the world's best footballer - one Cristiano Ronaldo - they have also helped to shape some of Original Travel's all-time favourite destinations. There's a certain unmistakable vibe discernible in several ex-Portuguese colonies which makes for a very special destination, be that Brazil, Mozambique or the southern Indian state of Kerala. So here's a quick obrigado to our oldest allies.
